RogueMuirHead: Photography and Writing

Stovepipe Wells 8 September 2016

Location: Death Valley

One hundred degrees. One thousand feet above sea level. The sun has met the earth. Capturing the colours that the rocky formations conceal.

The heat still lingers. No matter where you take shade. The depths within.

The skies are hazy on the painted rock. Lingering smoke helping create a haze from miles upon miles away.

The canopy of heat has now risen to one hundred and four degrees.

The skies are painted in hues of pinks and oranges. Striking the eye.

A haunting image that will forever be etched in the mind.

How small and yet magnanimous we truly are.
